Store roll-out installation for retail chains and manufacturers
Series installations across 20, 50 or 150 locations in Germany and Europe. We plan tours and dates, organise the logistics, provide trained teams — and hand over every store with a documented sign-off. More than 30 roll-outs completed, in retail and beyond.
What does Emig take on in a roll-out?
Emig Ladenbau installs store fixtures in series: the same fit-out, many locations, a binding date for each store. We provide trained teams of our own fitters and installation partners, plan the weekly cycle with you and hand over every location with a sign-off report. You supply the fixtures, we do the installation — since 2004, in Germany and across Europe, in more than 30 roll-outs so far.
The installation, complete: shelving and display systems, panels, built-ins, checkout furniture, shop-in-shop systems — to your plans, at every location in the series. Plus the organisation a series needs: team allocation, travel and accommodation for the fitters, feedback per store, sign-off with report and photos. One fixed contact on our side keeps track of every location and is your counterpart for changes.
Not part of our service: manufacturing and delivery of the fixtures, electrical, painting and flooring work. We can arrange these trades through partners if you wish — we do not carry them out ourselves.
How many stores per week are realistic?
That depends on floor area and scope. A reference figure from a discounter roll-out in Austria: around 50 stores with 800 to 1,200 m² of sales area, refurbished over about two years. A complete store took 12 fitters over four to five nights. That meant one to two complete stores per week. With partial installations or smaller areas, more locations per week are possible. We set the realistic number with you before the start — not after the first store.
Who draws up the roll-out plan?
Both happen. In the roll-out mentioned, the plan came from the client: they specified which team had to be in which store when, and provided a site manager per store. More often we draw up the roll-out plan together with the customer. Both ways work as long as three things are settled: the order of the locations, the delivery window for each store and who decides on site.
A plan that only describes the ideal case is not a plan. That is why we allow around 20 % time buffer everywhere. If things go better, that is a gain. If they do not, it was planned for.
How many fitters can Emig provide in parallel?
Up to 25 fitters at the same time have been deployed at peak times. The teams are a mix of our own fitters and installation partners from our network. In every team, one or two of our own people lead who know the process and decide on site if there is a problem. In a series over months, that is the difference: a team that knows the process from the tenth store needs no briefing in the eleventh.
What is checked before every deployment?
Before every location we go through a fixed list with you — internally we call it the day-before check. We do not ask in the store; you confirm the points to us: the survey and plans match the area. The material is complete on site, checked against the delivery note, including small parts. Access, keys and alarm are arranged, with a name and a number reachable at night. Power, light and waste disposal are available. Store management is informed, the areas are cleared. The sign-off is arranged.
At one location an open point costs half an hour. Across 50 locations it adds up to days.
What happens if a location is not ready?
It happens in every series: material is missing, a survey is wrong, an area has not been cleared. What matters is that the rule for it is set beforehand and not negotiated at two in the morning. Before the first deployment we settle with you: do we carry on installing with what is there, or is the location postponed? Who decides that on site? Has a follow-up installation been agreed in advance and how is it documented?
Absences in the team are part of it too — with 25 people, someone falls ill. The weekly cycle holds because the buffer is in the plan and not in hope.
How does logistics work in a roll-out?
Two ways are common. Either the manufacturer delivers directly to the store and we take over from the loading dock. Or the fixtures are delivered to us, stored temporarily and brought to the locations tour by tour. Packaging disposal and leftover quantities are planned in both cases. For long journeys, the teams stay on site for several weeks at a time; we organise hotels and fitters' accommodation.
How is the work signed off and invoiced?
Every store is handed over with documentation: sign-off report, photos to a specification agreed beforehand, open points with a date for rework. The simpler the photo specification, the cleaner the documentation — we define that before the start. Invoicing runs in batches through your fixed contact, traceable per location.
